Nature Robots promotes regenerative and ecological agriculture through AI and robotics in harmony with nature and people
With 11 employees, the Osnabrücker DFKI-Spin-off Nature Robots develops long-term autonomous agricultural robotics with its own 3D laser navigation technology and creates spatially and temporally high-resolution 3D plant maps as well as decision aids as a basis for perennial and diversified agriculture. The systems are used in arable farming and seed production as well as in any structured environments such as vegetable, fruit and wine growing, agroforestry, forestry and (agro)photovoltaics. The company is already supporting 4 customers with its B2B2C approach to agricultural robot navigation in the form of feasibility studies, prototype development and, in the future, as a pay-per-use system. In addition, Nature Robots is developing a full-farming system for small-scale, decentralised, bio-intensive agriculture, in which all steps from planning to maintenance (including laser), 5D inventory and harvesting are handled by robots and AI.
