For example, the linking of energetic buildings with sensor technology will determine our future: buildings that are not only energy-efficient and resource-saving, but are also equipped with intelligent sensor systems that enable precise control and monitoring with the help of the Digital Twin. These systems will enable buildings to react in real time to changing environmental conditions and optimise energy consumption. From smart heating and cooling systems to automated lighting and ventilation solutions, buildings will become central to a sustainable future. The future of building sensors and technology will not only help reduce energy consumption, but also enhance occupant comfort and safety. We are on the threshold of an exciting new era in building technology and energy efficiency that will enable us to shape a more sustainable future.

Prof. Dr. Sandra Thomas is al meer dan 20 jaar actief in de telecommunicatie-branche met uitgebreide ervaring in consulting, IT en onderwijs & onderzoek. Na diverse functies bij onder meer BearingPoint en INFONOVA is zij thans partner bij thinX en gastdocent aan de Provadis Universiteit.
