The Gen AI journey of Westfalen AG:
Westfalen AG initiated its Gen AI journey in early 2023 with a hackathon, followed by workshops that led to a company-owned GPT and initial chatbot applications. These steps enabled the development of targeted AI solutions that improve efficiency and customer service. During the talk, Westfalen AG will present their Gen AI journey and show how the use of generative AI supports Westfalen's ongoing digital transformation.

Nikolai is Head of Cloudsolutions and AI at Westfalen AG. As a medium-sized company in the heart of Münster, Westfalen AG specialises in industrial gases, energy solutions, mobility and respiratory homecare.
Starting as a working student in IT project management in 2018, he supported a large logistics project at all European locations and introduced an SAP Fiori-based app for barcode-accurate gas cylinder tracking. He has been Head of Cloudsolutions and AI since 2023 and has been focussing on AI at Westfalen AG ever since and is the owner of the AI Community of Practice.
