The chatty chatbot: security aspects that companies should consider when using generative AI
Generative artificial intelligence opens up a world full of innovative possibilities for increasing efficiency or opening up new business areas. However, this promising technology also harbours previously little-known security risks. Attackers could, for example, use sophisticated questions to elicit sensitive information from customer service chatbots. The presentation will describe important security risks that you should consider when using generative AI and how these are being addressed in current research.
Short CV:
Jan-Philipp Steghöfer is a Senior Researcher at XITASO, where he works on research projects on cybersecurity, generative AI, AI in healthcare and software engineering. He also supports XITASO's development teams as a requirements engineer, software architect and security specialist. Previously, he worked as Associate Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology.
