How can digital innovations become established in North Westphalia in the long term?
The participants in this panel discussion will discuss the results of an innovation study conducted by PWC and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in North-Westphalia. They will classify the region as part of a national and international comparison, discuss the role and appeal of the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Battery Cell Production, and propose measures that could make the region more innovative in the long term.
Earlier this year, Jonathan Krauß was named Head of Digitalisation in Battery Cell Production at the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Battery Cell Production (FFB) in Münster.
Born in Hamburg, he graduated from the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg in 2015 with a degree in industrial and mechanical engineering.
In 2015, he started his career as a research assistant within the Production Quality department of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology (IPT). After becoming a group leader in 2018, he was promoted to head of department in 2021. He has also taught “Quality Management” at RWTH Aachen University.
During his time at Fraunhofer, Jonathan Krauß has collaborated on various projects with the aim of digitalising production processes with different industrial partners.
Jonathan Krauß obtained a doctorate from RWTH Aachen University in 2021. He wrote his thesis on the topic of “Optimising hyper-parameters for machine learning algorithms in production”.
