CEO Bernd Eßer provides an insight into what has been realised and learned, what is currently being implemented and what is planned on the horizon – in the field of tension between sustainability and digitalisation at Berief Food.
Bernd Eßer started his career as a merchant in wholesale and foreign trade with the Metro Group, where he was most recently head of Key Account Management National. After 25 years, he moved to the Austrian spice group Wiberg.
Bernd Eßer has been working for Berief Food GmbH since 2015. In 2017, he became spokesman for the management board and is responsible for strategic and commercial development.
Berief Food GmbH produces plant-based foodstuffs in organic quality, is climate-neutral and certified according to the ZNU “Sustainable Business” standard – focus: sustainable procurement and healthy products.
